"26 iconic Jackson looks had been recreated for what might have been an epic tour.
As for the actual costumes, here is some of what People magazine found out about the 26 iconic Jackson looks that were re-created for each of the songs he was to perform:
- Fiber-optic lights were sewn onto the red leather “Thriller” jacket for a light show timed to the music.
- Jackson was going to wear his signature crystal glove and socks which caught the light allowing even those sitting far away to see.
- For the Jackson’s “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You” performance regimented, military look was created.
- It has been reported that when he died, Jackson was a mere 112 pounds.
- It has been reported that when he died, Jackson was a mere 112 pounds.
- Jackson’s new Billie Jean suit held 7.5 lbs. of Swarovski crystals and 60 lights."
I watched whatever short clips I could find today online because of the time difference, and shed a few tears. Especially at Rev. Al Sharpton's standing ovation worthy thoughts -
"This was your child. This was your brother. This was your cousin. Nothing will fill your heart's loss. But I hope the love that people've shown will make you know that he didn't live in vain. And I want his three children to know, weren't nothing strange about your daddy. It was strange about what your daddy had to deal with. But he dealt with it."
Amen to that. May MJ rest in eternal peace.
